George’s Cafe in West Covina serves up a straightforward, hearty diner experience centered mostly around classic American comfort food with a focus on breakfast and sandwiches. The spot offers a casual, cozy atmosphere where murals decorate the walls, adding a touch of local character and a livelier sense of place than your typical neighborhood café. Located just a short walk from Glendora Avenue, it’s a convenient stop whether you’re starting your day or meeting up for a casual meal.

The menu leans heavily into traditional diner fare with several grilled and cold sandwich options alongside typical appetizers like mozzarella sticks, fried zucchini, and chicken tenders with fries. Breakfast offerings include familiar combos such as pancakes, French toast, and omelets, making it popular with families and coworkers looking for a no-frills but satisfying start to the morning.

Visitors highlight the smooth service despite a small staff, noting that food comes out quickly and the team often checks in to make sure you have everything you need—like fresh coffee served right after you sit down. The crowd here seems to be a mix of locals who appreciate a dependable spot with consistent breakfast and lunch plates, families bringing multiple generations, and people comfortable with a diner-style vibe that includes some pop culture nods, like a movie-themed mural that adds personality to the room.

The dining area is kept clean and the overall pace feels easy going, suitable for anyone seeking a relaxed meal without the formality or rush of a bigger restaurant. The atmosphere fits well for weekend mornings, early afternoons, or casual weekday meetups, especially if you’re looking for a familiar taste of home or a quiet spot locally known for decent food and friendly service.

Looked up a quick breakfast place that we could pick up and it didn’t disappoint. Everything tasted amazing. Normally you sort of expect salty with bacon and sausage but no this was perfect! Went with the basic 2+2+2+2 and a French toast breakfast. Even my picky coworker truly enjoyed the meal. So we will definitely be coming back and trying more of the menu. Owner helped us out and was very kind. Our food was ready when we arrived. Can’t wait to go back. Doesn’t hurt that it’s very cute inside.

Cozy, clean and delicious! Staffed by only two yet our food was out fast. I had the ultimate burrito, son had the ultimate omelet, wife and daughter had the French toast combo. All meals were excellent. Their green salsa was perfectly light for a breakfast meal.

Took my mom here for breakfast and the murals were immaculate. The food was delicious and the service was fast, attentive and so kind. It was such an amazing place to eat with my family.

First time visiting George’s Cafe. Our server was awesome, she asked if I cared for coffee after we sat down and were handed the menus. My son got the Pastrami burger with garden salad and ranch dressing. I chose the short stack pancakes and we shared the chicken tenders and fries. My son said he liked the Pastrami burger although it just had a little too much mustard. The pancakes were light and fluffy with a pat of butter and lightly sprinkled with powdered sugar. The chicken tenders looked overcooked but they were actually seasoned well, the breading was crunchy with juicy white meat. It is a relaxed casual dining place, wheelchair accessible, with patio seating, adequate parking and clean restrooms.

This is the place I have a great time. The food quality is second. To none the prices are reasonable. The movie theme, a blood and blood out is fantastic. Making the atmosphere second to none. This great diner is in west covina, on vine a half a block east of glendora. I totally recommend, and we'll be returning again and again
